and finally, I've returned to the wonderful world of Rutgers and the life that goes along with it. our dorm room still doen't have heat, but since it's fricking 60 degrees outside, it really doesn't matter right now. i'm sitting here typing this blog from my roomate's laptop because my ethernet connection still does not work. I called comp. services twice last week and waited on hold for 20 minutes in the process. i plan on calling again today, but i have to wait until i can sound pleasant. i was just on another bus ride from hell, and i'm kinda grumpy.
but in reality, i really have nothing to be grumpy about. for once in my life, i actually enjoy school because of my classes. my acting class is amazing (btw, no more mandatory mentions of that class. i've switched to a more practical notebook journal for this semester), my other theater class is really cool, my anthropology class is absolutely fascinating, and my expos class rocks because i get to spend an entire semester researching pop culture. not bad, huh? now my goal is to get a job so i can actually have money to go out and do stuff when i want to. i went shopping a few weeks ago, and i realized how much i missed it. once i'm on a roll, it's hard to stop. that's why I don't have a credit card.
so i'm a year older now, as my birthday was a little less than 2 weeks ago. i really don't feel all that much older, but after i think about all the stuff that i've been through since I started college, i realize that I've grown up a lot. that's kinda scary, isn't it?
i was so bored last night that i cleaned my room. i mean really cleaned. i fixed up the stuff on my bookshelf, organized someo of my clothes, and got as far as tackling a desk drawer before i had to make myself stop. i got too bored to clean.
my roomate bought these cute little aquatic frogs. you know the ones that come in the plastic cube with a tree and a snail? yup, we got em. the fun part was naming them. the snail's name is Hoover (wow, that's original). then we had to figure out the names for the frogs. after we were able to tell them apart (one has a white spot on her head), we started thinking of dynamic duo names. Andre came up with Ren and Stimpy, but it didn't quite stick. Then I thought of Will and Grace, but Liz didn't like that. PJ and I then thought about JJ and Thelma (from Good Times, for those of you who want to brush up on tv trivia), but that didn't stick either. Liz finally picked some good ones: Rudy and Bud (from the Cosby Show, remember?). We really don't know if one's a boy and one's a girl, but the names are cool.
hmmm....lemme see.....is there anything else remotely interesting going on....not really. i'm just waiting for the semester to get into full swing so I'll actually have stuff to do. well, i guess i'll get going now. ta ta to you all (if there's anyone still reading this thing)!
