Ten years.

Of growing up gracefully, but with the scars to prove that it has not been easy.
Of laughter and adventure.
Of tears and frustration.
Accomplishments that now seem mundane;
victories that are laughably small,
defeats that were mere speed bumps.
An incredible life lived
and captured here
in changing style and prose for
ten years.

So earlier this year I had made all sorts of plans for commemorating ten years of this blog. I promised rants and stories and revisits of posts. However, life got in the way, as usual, and I really didn't follow through with those plans.

Whatever. It's my blog.

But I had to write today, just for a minute. I won't post tomorrow. I don't think I'm going to do an "obligatory 9/11 post" any more. It's been ten years. We all need to move on.

What a crazy summer it's been. Sorority stuff. Rock the Bells 2011. Met a new boy. An earthquake. Hurricane Irene (with Maria potentially on the way). New job (yay!). New car (double yay!). Days at the beach. Nights in my room watching Grey's Anatomy. Now the weather's getting cooler, football season is underway, and I'm that much closer to 29.

Where I am at nearly 29 is unfathomable to the 18 year old who started this blog ten years ago. But I'm ok with that.

And with that, I'm on my way. Just like I was ten years ago, I'm headed out to be with my friends, and keep living this incredible life that I've been sharing here.

It hasn't been an easy road, but it's been a hell of a ride. Here's to ten more!
