Out of the funk, back in the groove

Today I went to a job fair at school. I need a job. There were some opportunities that I checked out...we'll see how things go. The funny thing about it all was that the rent-a-car people were there. As in the same lady that I interviewed with 4 weeks ago. I walked up to the booth and she was all, "Oh, you look familiar." I was like, "Yeah, you non-phone-using evil person, you interviewed me four weeks ago and chose to never call back." Except that I was in Corporate mode, so I spoke the language of the sell-outs instead of saying what I really felt. Long story short, they "selected a different candidate." So why were they whoring themselves out to everyone else who walked past? Hmmm....

I'm only saying, they could have told somebody. I mean, I suffered a two week depressive episode where I essentially felt like I was the most worthless human being on the planet. All they had to do was call. Or even write a letter. Anyway, the saga has finally ended and I can move on. I'm sure I can find something cooler than the rent-a-car place.

In other news...since it is Spring Break at school, there have been no Shoestring rehearsals this week. So I've been insanely bored. Well, not insanely bored. I've been playing lots of Game Cube again.

Animal Crossing is one of the most addictive games in the world. I like it waaayyyy better than I liked The Sims. I have even set aside my fiery passion for thumb-cramping sessions of Donkey Konga. I am all about Animal Crossing now, and I don't care if that makes me the biggest dork who ever lived. I've never been one to constantly talk about how cool or popular I am.

Seriously--I used both the words "funk" and "groove" in my title tonight, and not in a cool way either.

Well, time to make a decision. I can either:
a) continue reading my library book and then go to sleep
b) play some more Animal Crossing (although it's a pretty pointless game at 1am since it works in real time) and then read before going to sleep
c) watch an episode or two of Mr. Bean (from box set DVD) and then read and then go to sleep.

Seeing as that it's been a fairly exhausting day (but not really) and I almost missed the Americal Idol results (vote for Scott Savol!!!) because I was dozing...I'll go for option A.

I shall leave you all to ponder just how big of a dork I actually am.

But I'm serious about American Idol. Keep voting for Scott Savol. He can actually sing!!
