"It's sad to think we're not gonna make it/ and it's gotten to the point where we just can't fake it/ for some ungodly reason we just won't let it die/ I guess neither one of us wants to be the first to say goodbye// Everytime I find the nerve to say I'm leaving/ those old memories get in my way/ lord knows it's only me that I'm deceiving/ when it comes to saying goodbye that's the one thing that I just cannot say// there can be no way this can have a happy ending/ so we just go on hurting and pretending/ and convincing ourselves to give it just one more try/ because neither one of us wants to be the first to say...farewell my love, goodbye."

I guess it just shows that I have an old soul when the only way that I can express my feelings is through an old Gladys Knight & The Pips song ("Neither One Of Us").

After exactly 7 months, Phil and I decided to part ways...the love just wasn't there anymore. I still care about him and everything, and we know that we'll still be friends. But the whole boyfriend/girlfried doesn't work too well when one person's in upstate NY and the other person's down in Jersey and you're both way too busy for your own good. I guess that's just the way life goes. *sigh*

As far as everything else...

I'm assistant directing Shoestring this year, and so far it's been an awesome experience. All of my Shoestring kids (and some of hem are older than me) are really cool, and we hang out together as often as we can. It's really cool to watch them go through the same experience that I went through exactly a year ago. They're all gung-ho about Scotland so far, so we'll see what happens!
School is keeping me very busy, but I'm keeping on top of my stuff. And I survived rush week, which is usually when I start to slack off a little. No graduation countdowns yet, though...it's a long way away as far as I'm concerned, and I still don't know what I'll be doing with my life after that magical day when I'm no longer a college student.

Well, I'm off to clean up the room a bit (I have my own room this semester!), and then watch a movie or two. Laters!
