It's December?!? WTF!!!!

so I was talking to Andre the other day and I was remarking on how it's already December. I just got used to the fact that it's not summer anymore, and winter is just a few weeks away. I realized that the time has flown by so fast because I have mentally supressed so much of the stuff that has happened since graduation. Essentially, the majority of my summer doesn't exist anymore in my memory because I was slaving away at The Evil Place. There's 4 months down the drain right there. The only things that I remember are my Six Flags excursion with Andre, and Rachel's visit at the end of July. Most of my internship has been blanked out too, so there's another month gone. Therefore, according to my mental calendar, it's only...

mid-July?!?

Wow. Once again, my advice to anyone who's in college right now is to never graduate. Take my experience over the past seven months and ask yourself if you really want to go through that. Yeah, I didn't think so.

In other news...

When I was at the mall the other day I got hit on by a guy. I'll be honest - he was pretty cute, but I knew he was too young. I have a rule now where I don't get involved with guys younger than I am...it's just too much drama. Anyway, he appeared out of nowhere as I was walking thought the mall and started "kickin' his game." It was a pretty pathetic rap, the usual "where are you from, what are you doing here at the mall, etc." After approximately a minute of conversation, he asked for my number.

Why do guys think that if they talk to a girl for more than 30 seconds without getting laughed at or punched in the balls they can go straight for getting her digits? If anyone knows why guys do that, please feel free to post a comment.

Needless to say, the guy did not get my phone number. Besides the fact that he was too young (he said he was 20 and I think he was lying), he didn't really try all that hard. And I lied and said that I have a boyfriend (ha ha ha ha ha!!!). The only thing that was half true was that I barely had time to see my "boyfriend" because I was so busy. The true part is that I really am too busy. I don't even get to hang out with Andre, which sucks, because we really need a "drink at the bar and make catty comments about people" night.

Life at the toy store drags on. It's been pretty busy since Black Friday, but now we're entering the headache time of year where kids throw temper tantrums because they can't wait three friggin weeks for Santa Claus to bring them a buttload of presents that they don't deserve. Sigh.

My new music obsession is BBC Radio on the internet. Over the past week I've listened to live streams and recorded shows and I can't get enough. So far I've listened to mostly hip hop and R&B stuff, but I like it because it's not the same crap that they play on the radio here in the States. (I mean, honestly, how many times can one hear "Let's Get It Started" before wanting to shoot yourself because you know the album version is SO much better?) Right now I'm listening to the Panjabi Hit Squad, which is a Desi beats show (Indian pop/ hip hop music). It's pretty cool stuff. And there's no commercials. The other cool thing is that the DJs are allowed to say that they think a song or album sucks. How awesome is that?

Well, I guess that's all for now. A few more chapters of"Wuthering Heights" await me before going to sleep.
