More pointless rambling...

I guess I've hit a boring few weeks in my life...nothing dramatic or exciting to post about. So let's talk about pointless and silly things for a while, shall we?

The zipper on my coat got stuck this morning, resulting in my standing in my kitchen for 5 minutes desperately trying to wrestle it loose. Knowing I was supposed to be at work in 10 minutes, I stopped at Dunkin' Donuts anyway. Coffee is important.

Have you ever tried to match an outfit to a particular piece of makeup? Ok, so I was at Bloomingdale's the other night (because I'm the masochistic type who will go into stores that I can't afford to shop in) and browsed the MAC counter and found this totally awesome glitter eye liner.

It sounds tacky, but it's actually really sweet. And only $15. (When's the last time you were able to find something you like at Bloomie's for only 15 bucks?)

So now I have coolest eye liner ever and eyeshadow to match (already at home), but no cute outfit to complement said cosmetics. My attempts to find such a cute outfit in time for RutgersChristmas have so far been unsuccessful. I don't even have cute pink shoes. Pink flip flops, yes. But no pink shoes.

*sigh* Just envisioned the perfect pair of pink kitten heels with marabou trim that totally say, "I am a totally awesome holiday party hostess!"

Ok, the marabou trim's a bit much. Too stripper. So we'll scrap the marabou and add glitter. I don't care if sequins are more "in" this season, I want glitter.

And I'm dreaming about shoes. Again.

-Potty break-

Slowly but surely, our house is getting decked out for the holidays. Andre and I have compromised on the tree light situation. Oh yeah, note to self: pick up extra strand of lights for tree at Target. And gloves. Our tree, while cute and special, is very...I call it "ouch-y." Just putting on some lights last night made me feel like I was getting attacked by the tree itself.

I did my laundry at the laundromat last night. Yes, there is a washer and dryer at my house. But I had a lot of laundry. I'm talking:

6 top loader (medium sized) loads @ $1.75 each
1 triple loader (large - for all of my pants) load @ $3.75
1 giant loader (gigantic - for my comforter) load @ $4.75
5 dryers @ $1.25 for 40 minutes

Grand Total:
....(calculating)...
$25.25

Twenty-five dollars and twenty-five cents. And sadly, it was worth every penny. I was in and out of that laundromat in 2 hours. It takes about that much to get one load done at the house.

-Pause while I do some real work for a sec-

I was trying to figure out how I'm going to see 20 bajillion movies this weekend. Then, thanks to IMDb, I found out that the only 2 movies I have to worry about this week are The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and Brokeback Mountain. For some reason, I've been hell bent on seeing all of the holiday/Oscar season flicks that I really want to see in the theater.

Ok, so when I get home, I'm going to put my laundry away and keep cleaning my room. Or I'll stop at Taco Bell on the way home and then play Game Cube before going to New Brunswick, then I'll clean my room later tonight.

Does Taco Bell take debit cards yet?

Or maybe I have enough cash for some Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes. 'Cause that's all I really need. And I really wanna play "Mario Kart: Double Dash" on the Cube. I finally picked it up used for a decent price...which probably means that a new Mario Kart is coming out soon. Ooooh--must remove Mario Kart from Amazon wish list.

...........

And look at that! 2pm! Time to pack it up and call it a day here at the office.

::makes grand exit a la Randy Watson; dropping the mic, hands raised, then pointing stage right and exiting in that direction::
