Post-holiday ramblings...
I've been multi-tasking on the internet today, just doing whatever pops into my head at that particular moment. So I'd figured I'd fashion today's blog the same way...I'll just pop in here and there with random thoughts and whatever.
10:58am - digging through old UPS slips to track a package. Have sinking feeling that package in question was not sent via UPS overnight. By no fault of my own, mind you...I send it how they tell me to send it.
11:18am - finally sent e-mail after hearing all about one of the guys' Christmas. Good thing this week is my last week here...Charlie's the only entertaining one out of the bunch, and tomorrow's his last day.
11:20am - Wondering whether it's worth it to water the poinsettias on my desk. They're as good as dead, aren't they? Poor, poor poinsettias.
11:26am - Reply e-mail: "Please include all the details of the package." Apparently I have to type everything out...sending the tracking umber and a link to UPS isn't enough. Sigh. Back to the New York Times Magazine.
12:05pm - Boss Man is gone for the day. Two hours of no phones ringing is almost guaranteed.
12:19pm - Sigh. Done reading the Mag. Best part of Monday is reading the Magazine online. Worst part of Monday is finishing it. Just realized today is Tuesday. Whatever.
12:24pm - I have discovered on eBay that I probably won't get a lot of money for my old iMac. I'll get pocket change for it. Damn.
12:36pm - Sleepy and bored. Hungry too. Didn't get coffee this morning on the way in to work and I was still 20 minutes late. Yeah, totally time for this gig to be over. But for now, time for Yahoo radio and crossword puzzles.
12:39pm - But first, some more eBay research...I want a Tivo so bad I can taste it.
12:50pm - Maybe I'll just take Dad's advice and get a DVR through the cable company instead.
1:22pm - Back from the potty. Just got directions to interview for next temp assignment. Game plan for rest of day follows as such:
-prepare overnight package to Philly and check office mail
-MapQuest directions to interview from the mall.
-Leave work, go to mall, possibly to buy something nicer to wear to the interview, definitely for lunch.
-Go to interview.
-Race home, change, then off to the other mall for work and missing Rutgers play in a bowl game. (this is where Tivo would come in handy. But I still love my new laptop!!)
-Back home to catch the end of the game, some dinner, and maybe set up my printer too.
Well, plenty to do before leaving for the day, so I'll finally end this post. To the joy of most of you out there. Peace.
